Echoes of change: The quiet spot is no more.

An abstract visual representing transformation and lost serenity, symbolizing how peaceful moments fade amid the powerful echoes of change and disruption.

Today, the foundations of life started shaking,
Today, this world is full of people who started saying something,
My restless mind started searching for something,
I just kept wandering,
Where did I get lost in search of ultimate peace?

I wrote some meaningless things,
I said some stupid things,
I must have made eye contact with someone,
We could not understand the deep meaning of things,
I kept on searching for peace.

The world is very crowded today,
Echoes of change, the quiet spot is no more,
The world is getting more and more crowded,
I saw many different kinds of people in this crowd,
Looking at this crowd, people are emotionless.

I talk to anyone, but why do people use harsh language?
Why are the sweet words vanishing?
Why do people meet in a dispute?
Why are people not able to speak the language that touches the heart?
Why are people forgetting the language of love?
Who is not innocent anymore?

My mind is disillusioned,
Where has that exquisite beauty disappeared?
The sweet sounds of the birds, the sound of the wind,
The concrete has laid a net,
The tall, tall building is full.

Today, words fail to capture the enchanting affection of a mother's love,
Today, the father's love has become a show-off,
Relatives and neighbours have become selfish now,
Look at anyone, everyone's mind is filled with impurity.
The crowd is increasing, but the true humans are getting lost.

Echoes of change, the quiet spot is no more,
Everywhere crowds, just crowds,
There is only a crowd on the road, on the bus, on the train,
Where have all those birds disappeared?
Which wakes the world up from sleep in the morning.

How expensive has the sweet voice of the cuckoo become?
How costly has that beautiful dance of the peacock become?
Excessive urbanisation and tree felling continue,
Nature is telling us something in a wordless response,
Which we cannot hear or see.

Where has the river flowing in silence gone?
Where have the countless colourful fish disappeared?
The cool breeze of the flow is vanishing today,
The lush greenery and the fragrance of flowers captivate the mind.
Certainly, that greenery is disappearing today.

Where are the hordes of migratory birds disappearing from rivers?
Streams, ditches and caves,
The unmatched beauty of nature is diminishing,
Where have those fireflies that used to illuminate the tranquil, silent night?
No one can hear that sweet voice, that bird awake all night,

The crowds keep increasing,
The quiet spot is no more,
The language of empathy is vanishing,
The language of unspoken competition is rising,
The frenzied crowd has created an uproar,
Looking at this crowd, one feels like a dreamless creature.

I search for that flock of birds that sing music with their sweet voices,
The wild animal herd is slowly vanishing,
I kept wandering like this. I had written a tuneless song in my account,
My mind is unstable, and I am searching for peace.

When I meet people, they are unable to speak the language of knowledge,
The language of love is vanishing from within people,
There is a sense of dissatisfaction on everyone's face,
People are not able to meet with happiness, and the crowd is increasing today.
But that style of humanism is disappearing today.

There is no peace today in the city or the village,
I am sleeping with a tired body,
I have seen an enchanting dream,
A beautiful woman was seducing me,
I don't remember ever seeing such a beautiful woman before,
She appears to be a more beautiful woman than an angel from heaven.

She was telling me some things to forget,
She was telling me some love words,
Suddenly, a shrill sound broke my incomplete sleep,
That lascivious woman was laughing at me,
I just remained lying on the bed like that, without any concern.

1. The Instability of Life and the Search for Peace:-
Today's human is so entangled in the material race that the very foundation of life has begun to shake. Inner peace is slowly being lost, and humans are constantly feeling restless and unstable. Every individual is wandering within, searching for peace, but is unable to find that ultimate tranquillity. This poem depicts this restlessness and wandering, where humanity is unable to comprehend the depth of its existence and soul. The noise of modern life has suppressed true comfort and spiritual balance.

2. A World Full of Crowds and Noise:-
The world's population is constantly growing, but amidst this crowd, humanity and intimate connections are being lost. Instead of connecting with each other, people are merely engaged in external showmanship. Instead of dialogue, harsh voices and disputes are increasing. Places of peace and comfort have now become rare. This situation gives rise to mental unrest and inner emptiness in society. The poem conveys the message that the growing crowd is pushing us towards greater isolation rather than bringing us together.

3. Destruction of Nature and Urbanisation:-
Excessive urbanisation and the blind race for development have obliterated the beauty of nature. The cutting down of trees, the destruction of greenery, and the disappearance of the sweet sounds of birds highlight this tragedy. The songs of birds, the gurgling sound of rivers, and fresh air have now become rare. The poem underscores that humans have destroyed natural treasures in the name of progress. It is a warning that if we do not respect nature, future generations will inherit only noise and pollution.

4. Decline of Human Relationships:-
Today, the intimacy and love in relationships have transformed into selfishness and pretence. A mother's affection, a father's love, and a neighbour's warmth are no longer what they used to be. Every individual is chasing their own profit and interest, leading to a lack of love and trust in society. The poem questions what the future of humanity will be when every face is filled with discontent and malice. With the breakdown of genuine relationships and the loss of human connection, society is becoming more divided and isolated.

5. The Loss of Humanity:-
The crowd is growing, but the true essence of humanity is disappearing. People have forgotten the language of love and compassion, and every individual is entangled only in competition and dispute. A smile on the face and empathy in the heart have now become rare. The poem illustrates that true humanity is hidden somewhere behind the crowd. In this situation, humans are living like machines, where only profit and competition remain, instead of emotions and intimacy. This disappearing humanity is the greatest threat to our existence.

6. Dream and Irony:-
At the end of the poem, amidst his weariness, the poet sees a beautiful dream. In it, the form of a woman makes him feel peace and love. This woman symbolises the lost peace and beauty that humanity is searching for. But this dream is suddenly shattered by the harsh sound of noise. Returning to reality, the poet sees that the beauty was merely a mirage. This irony indicates that peace and happiness have remained only in imagination, while the real world is full of noise and unrest.

Conclusion:-
The message of this poem is clear: modern life, crowds, selfishness, and urbanisation have not only stripped away the beauty of nature but have also erased human intimacy and humanity. Humans are wandering in search of peace and love, but are finding only noise, crowds, and unrest. This poem warns us that if we still do not respect nature and humanity, the future will be even more terrifying. To find true peace, we must learn to live with simplicity, love, and in balance with nature.
